Maria --

Thanks for a nice i/v with RD.

Network analysis will really become a potent tool only when it embraces processes AND people into a complete whole, or value network. See:

Cordially,

Thanks Maria for this interview which has just pop up in my Google alert system. The connectedness world is bringing together many fellow travellers. In my particular area of expertise as a consultant I apply network ‘theory’ (there isn’t one but we are used to this description) to the organization, in particular, managing of change. I have explained this in detail in my book ‘Viral Change: the alternative to slow, painful and unsuccessful management of change in organisations’ (meetingminds, 2007) Effective internal management of change is made through the networks of influence, not through massive communication programmes that try to ‘catch’ everybody. Scale-free networks and their power law are the key to explain how the flow of new ideas works. My interest is ‘inside the organization’. It would be very useful to ‘get together’ with people whose focus on networks is at micro/macro social level to see the whole spectrum. I have attempted this in my book. The key thing for me is that management of change in this way works very well – this is my consulting practice! Incidentally, at the ‘other end’ of the spectrum, if we are going to talk about spaces we should tap into the philosophical world of ‘space and place’, something that Celtic spirituality understood very well and perhaps you Maria have the right (Celtic) genes to facilitate that conversation! - Leandro Herrero

Thanks for the reference and interesting commentary Maria!

Just thought it was worth noting the original post with the six elements Web 2.0 - there's a video of the speech I gave on this there as well:

I like where you're going with this. Most people tend to focus on the technological aspects of Web2.0, but I agree with you that there's much more to it. There is a sense of the web maturing in some way and people connecting and building community in different ways now. I'm fascinated by this and thrilled to be a part of it. I'm going to be watching your blog now. Thanks!

Maria,
I read your blog with great interest and as usual found your charm, wit and intelligence shining through.
Your ability to facilitate energies and life directions for yourself and others into being is self evident.
Congratulations.
Much Love and Light
